THE FILMMAKER

Karl is a BA graduate from the VCA film school in Melbourne. He has been directing and shooting television commercials for the last 23 years both in Australia and right throughout Asia and has won national and international awards for them. In that time, he has also worked as a Cinematographer and shot several feature films (Nigel, Storm Warning, Long Weekend), several award winning shorts and several documentaries including Not Quite Hollywood, and Machete Maidens Unleashed. Over the last 8 years Karl has been directing an ongoing Youtube series called State of Electronics which features 40+ episodes documenting innovation in Australia. D’art is his first feature documentary release.
